I was driving to work this past summer and I get on the Long Island Expressway service road in Nassau County New York for all of 3/4 of a mile. I saw an officer on a side street to my right but didn't think twice about it because I was doing less than 50 mph (which happened to be about as SLOW as I'd ever driven on that stretch). I saw the officer pull out after I passed and I couldn't believe it once it became apparent that he was pulling me over. I found out the speed limit was only 35 there and got a ticket for doing 47/35 on the service road of a major roadway. When I see a ticket like that, I can't help but think that officer was there more to find people to issue tickets to than to simply and fairly ensure vehicular safety. I kept my mouth shut and handed the ticket to a Nassau County traffic ticket attorney. It's still pending.

Hi,
Sometimes the officers are quite interested in charging tickets then seeing anything else.By reading your story it becomes more clear to us.Drive at full speed or at low speed makes no sense,Ticket will be charged to you if your luck is not with you at that time.
